We read product names and ingredient labels from photos. Depending on the product and available records, we check government filings, retailer labels or photo readings against ingredient rules. Results identify the ingredient source. Insufficient evidence does not establish halal status.
Korea Halal Scanner helps you read ingredient labels on products sold in Korea and check the evidence behind a halal assessment. It is not limited to a particular region.
Halal follows rules in Islamic law. This tool respects those rules and does not replace official halal certification.
For Muslim travelers and residents who find Korean ingredient labels difficult to read. You can also use it when choosing products for a Muslim guest, friend or family member.
